Ashley L. Albertsen

Ashley L. Albertsen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Peru State College and her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2010. Throughout law school, Ashley worked at the Douglas County Public Defender’s Office.

In 2010, Ashley was successfully admitted to the Nebraska State Bar Association and began working as an attorney. Ashley’s focus has been on criminal and juvenile law. Ashley believes that everyone deserves representation, and she strives to provide her clients with the best counsel she can. Ashley and Melissa partnered in the beginning of 2013 to form Oestmann & Albertsen Law. After briefly joining another law firm in 2018, Ashley and Melissa chose to go back out on their own, preferring the small firm feel.

Ashley is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Omaha Bar Association, and the Nebraska Women’s Bar Association. She is also a member of the juvenile section of the Nebraska State Bar Association.

Ashley Albertsen is licensed to practice law in Nebraska, the Ponca Tribal Courts.

Melissa M. Oestmann

Melissa M. Oestmann earned her bachelor’s degree from Peru State College in 2006. Melissa earned her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2010. Throughout law school, Melissa worked as a law clerk for a local firm that practices family and juvenile law.

After successfully completing the Nebraska State Bar Association, Melissa began a solo career practicing juvenile and family law. Melissa believed that by starting her own practice, she could be more effective in helping people deal with family law issues. In 2012, Melissa formed Oestmann & Albertsen Law to continue working in the areas of family and juvenile law. Ashley and Melissa partnered in the beginning of 2013 to form Oestmann & Albertsen Law. After joining briefly with another firm, Melissa and Ashley began Oestmann & Albertsen Law.

Melissa Oestmann is involved in a number of professional organizations including the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Omaha Bar Association and the Nebraska Women’s Bar Association. Melissa is also a member of the juvenile law section. Melissa is also a member of the Indian Law section.

Melissa Oestmann is licensed to practice law in Nebraska, the Ponca Tribal Courts.

Adaline Baker

Adaline attended Chadron State College for her undergraduate and graduate degrees and attended Creighton University School of Law for her J.D. While attending law school, Adaline also earned a Masters in Government Organization and Leadership from Creighton. After law school, Adaline was selected to participate in the University of Nebraska’s inaugural class of its Children’s Justice Attorney Education Fellowship.

Adaline practices mainly family law, juvenile law, and handles guardianships and conservatorships. She is a qualified mediator and a Guardian Ad Litem in both juvenile and probate court. Adaline also accepts Guardian Ad Litem appointments in district court.

Adaline offers Collaborative Divorce for clients who are seeking an alternative to the adversarial nature of divorce. Collaborative Divorce is designed to help couples settle their differences in a respectful and dignified manner while maintaining the well-being of their children and selves without court intervention. Amanda Smart

Paralegal

Amanda Smart earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023.

Amanda began working at Oestmann & Albertsen Law in September 2023 as an office assistant. In October of 2024 she began her position as a Paralegal. Amanda is responsible for drafting pleadings and supporting the attorneys with any other tasks pertaining to their cases.

Callie Anderson

Receptionist

Callie Anderson began working at Oestmann & Albertsen Law on May 16, 2024 as an office employee. In June of 2024 she began working full time as a Receptionist. Callie is responsible for answering the phones, assisting clients when they come into the office, and scheduling consultations.

Michelle Fenton

Office Manager

Michelle Fenton started working at Oestmann & Albertsen Law in November 2015 as the office manager. Michelle has an extensive background in customer service, with more than three decades of experience. As the office manager, Michelle is responsible for any billing questions that clients may have.
